You Needn't Worry Your Enjoyment Of Sports'll Be Here Tomorrow .......
It can't have escaped us all that the country is facing a stark economic reality. Even if the likes of Sen Phil Gramm would like to view it otherwise. He likens these economic times to that of the country whining over nothing more than the ills that aren't there. Well Senator Gramm those ills are there for all to view and when you're up there in your turret looking down on the masses it's very easy for you to be critical.

In light of this I'm taking an opportunity to advise you all of something startling that has taken place within the last 48 hours . Anheuser Busch , this country's largest beer manufacturer by volume and one of the best ran business entities has become the target of now what has been a solicited bid. How does that affect the realms of sports you may very well ask ? Well bearing in mind the role that corporate America plays in the role of sports. Anheuser-Busch is the Goliath to everyone else's David in the world of corporate advertizing and endorsement in the realms of sports.
And when it comes to beer and their involvement with sports . It must be said that without the likes of Anheuser and its North American counterparts. There wouldn't be much of an arena for them advertize their products. What with the restrictions placed upon them to an extent by the federal government. Budweiser Beer ad.

Anheuser-Busch at first became the unsolicited target of Belgian beer producer Inbev SA . The $52.1bn offer has been conditionally accepted by the Anheuser-Busch board . And what this will mean for the company in the long run is now most certainly open to debate. Anheuser-Busch apart from being known for those very funny comical Superbowl ads featuring the Clydesdale horses is also the owner of the Sea World and Busch Gardens theme parks that are synonymous with family fun. Inbev and its corporate culture notwithstanding will be looking to divest itself of everything that's not part of the core of the Anheuser-Busch product as a whole. It goes without saying that a $52.1bn purchase will make several members of the Busch family extremely wealthy as well their board of directors and several of their public as well as private investors . Be they fund managers or otherwise.

Inbev's dominance of the European market and elsewhere was one thing but they were looking to get a foothold here in North America. And in swallowing up Anheuser-Busch they've done that by leaps and bounds. In one fail swoop they've now become the largest beer producer in the world by volume and most certainly the largest by capitialization. And though on the face of it we may not feel that there ought to be a cause for concern. Consider this ? When a takeover takes place the buyer tends to divest itself of none core entities of that business in order to recoup some of its expenditure. And what may well be happening over the ensuing months , may well be the selling off of the theme parks and other none relating businesses within the Anheuser-Busch corporate structure.
Dale Earnhard Jr as a former driver of DEI . One of the team's major sponsors was Budweiser. As you can clearly see the Budweiser emblem is emblazoned on his suit for all to see. And it's prominently done so as to obtain the highest visibility. As with any business purchase, cost cutting exercises will and do take place. And Anheuser-Busch's multi-million dollar advertising budget will seriously come into play. The relationships that it has had throughout the years with the likes of the NFL, MLB , MLS , NHL and in particular NASCAR could blow an ill wind right across the playing field of sports as we know it. Especially if Inbev as the parent company chooses to shrink that advertizing budget extensively. With the tens of millions of dollars spent each year on advertizing as well their sponsoring of various sporting events and teams and naming rights. It can be said that should Inbev seek to reduce its presence to an extent. It could a great deal of financial heartache for several sporting entities as well as the governing bodies in question.
Less we forget what would Budweiser Beer be without a few beautiful women around to adorn and advertize the product ? picture courtesy of photobucket.com/albums/jameswheeler/images/wallpaper ......
We're already beginning to see this take place within the realms of NASCAR of Anheuser Busch is a big player amongst several teams in some form or another. And though nothing has to come to light of as of yet. NASCAR's main sponsor Sprint Nextel does find itself in sever financial straits and quite possibly the subject of unwarranted takeover by T-Mobile through its parent company Deutsche Telekom AG of Germany. Though these are only rumors at this juncture mind you. The ramifications of this wouldn't be lost on the fans or public alike. But when it comes to the realms of sport it does tend to leave an uneasy feeling amongst the fans. Wherein those who govern the sport tend to pass on any loss that they undertake on to their patrons. Which normally in these cases are we the fans.
The changes that are no doubt bound to be made could have some serious ramifications as to how we may well view sports in the future in some respects. Inbev for its part hasn't yet said what changes that it envisages for the company. But once onboard the identity that we've come to know Anheuser-Busch by may well be lost to us forever. There well be a possibility that things will remain the same to some extent. But when have you ever known this to have happened ? Especially when the corporate buyer in question is primarily an unknown quantity and not so accustomed as to the ways that things are normally done here within the confines and culture of corporate America. There's a tenuous feeling and the trepidations are bound to be felt far and wide at this juncture. The beer and taste will remain the same but the sporting environment as we know it could very well change. Albeit that the games will still be played and races will still be raced. What'll it tell us about ourselves in the end ? And in particularly how we feel about sports and others whom we feel may not have our best interests at hand ? Any comments that you may have please feel free to express them here concerning this article. I'll look forward to reading them all and expressing my own concerns therein. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/14/AR2008071400154.html

Sports and Beer are good for business, but not for us kids that love the games, it's up to our parents and guardian to teach us the right from wrong and we always been told that alcohol are not to mix with any thing we do or doing what ever it maybe.
I've had seen plenty of that in one of activity we had helped in the past and I didn't like what happened to children that thier parent mishaps with alcohol.
